Small acts of kindness

Stepping into this new year, Aegean Shipping Management would like to inspire you with “small acts of kindness”.

As part of our eco journey we decided that we will start collecting plastic caps! You may ask: “and what’s the point of it?

As a Company with great environmental and social commitment, there are two important reasons why:

1- the reduction of the environmental footprint

2- the support of people with mobility problems

So… feed two birds with one seed! And it’s super easy! 

We became part of the Social Organization named “Look to the Stars”.  Through the action “We Care Because We Care” , we gathered a number of 1796 plastic caps which were delivered to the organization. Until now, the organization has delivered more than 27 wheelchairs all around Greece. The process is ongoing and Aegean Shipping Management team is still collecting plastic caps.

The aim of this initiative is to raise awareness and to contribute even more in this special cause. Small acts can make a difference at the end of the day. There are various organizations and collecting points all over Greece.  So you may find one similar organization near you, which is collecting plastic caps and make your own impact through a small act of kindness; You can help people that need wheelchairs and protect nature at the same time. It’s really a small daily habit,  not rocket science…

Some small day-to-day habits don’t necessarily get attention but their impact is still huge.
